TRACOM is tasked with development, promotion and dissemination of all information concerning the fictional Starfleet Marine Corps. This is done primarily through the development of courses for, and operation of, the STARFLEET Marine Corps Academy. As a function of creating these courses, TRACOM develops common standards for the fictional Starfleet Marine Corps equipment, tactics, doctrine and history. Other TRACOM duties include providing STARFLEET's Advanced Starship Design Bureau (ASDB) with technical specifications and other information concerning SFMC vehicles and equipment. 

 

Training and Doctrine Command Mission Statement
Training Command is a single department that encompasses two basic missions. The first is to develop and disseminate the in-character basis of the Corps. Our second mission is to train Corps leaders in the techniques that are needed to adequately administer and manage an organization that has members from all parts of the world.The real purpose of the Marine Academy is to provide an entertaining method to disseminate the fictional information we develop. The Academy provides an inexpensive and effective way to experience the fiction that we design, without the problems and costs associated with reenactment. The Academy is a popular concept, one which is duplicated in every STAR TREK fan organization currently in existence.
