Appointment of SFMCA Cadet Academy Director

It is with pleasure that TRACOM announces the appointment of BGN Lauren Niemeyer to the post of Cadet Academy Dean at the SFMCA, effective immediately. BGN Niemeyer brings with her a solid background in child education and was instumental in the massive overhaul of the SFMC Cadet (Youth) Manual, as well as the creation of associated MTU exams used in the PD School. TRACOM is confident that BGN Niemeyer will bring much added value to this important portion of the SFMC Academy and will be a good addition to our team.

With some recent re-jigging of schools, there has been another vacancy open up at the SFMCA. We are now looking for a new director to take over the XenoStudies Jem'Hadar School and seek applications for this role.

LGN James Monroe has indicated that he wishes to step down as director of the SFMCA XenoStudies Klingon school, so as to enable a rotation of new personnel and to allow him to focus in other areas.

Greetings to all Marines and students of the SFMCA

I was once told "never start a communication with an apology" - but I have to in this case. So - my apologies for the delay in getting this report out, but I managed to squeeze some time out to grab a shuttle to another part of the planet (Australia in this case) to attend the 11th Brigade Muster and R11 Summit. I survived.... just... Hence the delay in reporting.

Sorry this is so late, but I'm still finding my way around this part of the facility. As Bruce mentioned in his State of TRACOM, the Student of the Month for July as Thomas Clark of the 3rd Bde with Kerry Furr of the 12th Bde as Runner Up. Cadet Student of the Month was Noah Cook of the 2nd Bde with Benjamin Slavin of the 7th Bde as a Runner Up.

Announcing the creation of the Office of Awards, Devices, and Certification

At the request of COTRACOM, I'm announcing the formation of a new office at TRACOM, the ADC Office. This stands for Awards, Devices, and Certification. As the systems come up for this office it will be assuming responsibilities for all SFMCA certifications, awards, and devices, as well as administering the MURP and MOSC programs. The Officer-In-Charge of this new office is BGN Scott Anderson Sr.

Assisting Scott in this endeavor will be an ADC Clerk who will report to the ADC OIC. Applications are now being accepted for this post and will be accepted until 30AUG2010. Successful

Introducing Team Delta

Now that the IC/IM has been completed, we can release the names of the first members to be inaugurated into the SFMCA Team Delta.

Team Delta represents the best students in any given year, selected by the directors of the Academy on the basis of their work and accomplishments with their submissions and study. These students are to be congratulated for having achieved what we believe to be the pinnacle of academic success with their inclusion into this elite group of Marines. Well done!

New and Updated Manuals Released!

The SFMC announces the publication of several new and updated manuals. These new manuals superceed all other manuals and earlier editions of the manuals that have been either replaced or updated should be discarded and not used.

It is with regret that we announce the resignation of BGEN Scott Anderson as DCOTRACOM. Scott has indicated that his current workloads have increased exponentially to the point that he has to step down from one of his many posts and he has decided that his role at TRACOM should be this.
